Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers says he wants to remain with team regardless of where the stadium is
Most NFL quarterbacks would not be happy if their team was to move, but that will not be a deciding factor for Philip Rivers. The former first round pick wants to remain with the team regardless of where they play on Sunday’s.
“Is the location of this team going to be a deciding factor? I can’t honestly tell you that it will be,” Rivers said on the Mighty 1090. “Is it a factor at all? Sure. I can’t tell you that it’s at the top of the list, because it’s not, it’s really not. That goes without saying I hope we’re staying. But should we move, it doesn’t move to the top of my list for deterrents for not being a Charger.”
The Chargers have said they want Rivers to play for the Chargers for the remainder of his career and Rivers expressed the same interest during Monday’s interview, so it seems like there’s a good chance for a deal wherever Rivers is cashing his checks.
