cantyVeteran football players are getting cut left and right.  Today the Baltimore Ravens continue to free up space, by terminating the contract of defensive end Chris Canty.

The defensive end was entering the final year of a three-year $8 million contract signed in 2013. Cutting him saves the Ravens $2.66 million on the salary cap, per OverTheCap.com.
