Raiders have interviewed Mike Shanahan; their former head coach
Raiders brass interviewed Mike Shanahan recently for their head-coaching vacancy, according to Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area.
It is a surprising turn, considering that Shanahan was fired by the Raiders in 1989, just four games into his second season as head coach. The relationship between the team and Shanahan seemed to be permanently fractured, but his interview suggests that owner Mark Davis is mending broken fences.
Shanahan reportedly met with Davis and other Raiders officials in recent days.
