Could Pittsburgh host a Super Bowl soon?
Steelers have won the most Super Bowls in NFL history, but their owner now wants to host a Super Bowl.
“Yeah, I think it should happen,” chairman Dan Rooney said Friday after taking in NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s annual pre-Super Bowl address at Phoenix Convention Center.
“As of last year, the (New York) Giants have had one. There have been games in Minnesota and Detroit, places like that. So now you think about it.
“Of course, you’ll have a lot of teams in the Northeast that will want one, but I think Pittsburgh would be a good place for the next one in the North.”
A Super Bowl in Pittsburgh would be amazing for the city, that works extremely hard, and to a fan base that is amazing.
