Tom Coughlin is happy that Odell Beckham was penalized for excessive celebration
Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants has been tearing up the NFL in his rookie year, but yesterday the rookie was penalized after his touchdown. That hurt his team and although it hurt the Giants, Tom Coughlin was happy he was finally penalized for his celebration.
“He finally got flagged for his celebration,” Coughlin said, via Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News. “That was an issue, because here we are kicking off from the 20-yard line and they got the ball with great field [position]. I said something to him when it happened. When he was called for it, I said something to him. . . .
“He will tone it down, he will. He did.”
