If Buccaneers lose week 17 they have the number 1 pick
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are guaranteed to have a top 2 draft pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the problem is they could have the top spot if they just lose this week. Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times worked out the math to confirm the Bucs get the top spot with a loss.
With Oakland beating the Bills on Sunday for the Raiders’ third win, the Bucs have locked up a top-two pick in the upcoming draft — meaning they would have at worst the lesser of prized quarterbacks Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston. And if the Bucs lose their regular-season finale next week at home against the Saints, they would pick No. 1 overall, barely edging the Titans on the league’s strength-of-schedule tiebreaker.
The Buccaneers need a QB, but hopefully they take Jameis over Mariota, because I feel he will be the best QB in the draft.
