Florida Gators are expressing interest in Josh McDaniels
The New England Patriots are back smoking teams with Josh McDaniels as their offensive coordinator. Well that could be changing.
Football Scoop says that McDaniels is currently being vetted as a potential head coaching candidate at the University of Florida, where he would replace Will Muschamp. This is obviously just the start of a very long process, but it seems like the Gators are hoping for a little Bill O’Brien-type magic for their depleted program.
At the moment, it’s unclear whether McDaniels would even be interested in a college job, especially having spent just two years as a graduate assistant in the college ranks.
At 38, he’s certainly young and energetic enough for the demands of a major college program, but would he rather another shot in the NFL?
