Where do you play college football?
I play for Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS
How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?
A few teams from the MIAA & a couple from D1AA
How did you choose your school?
I choose Pitt because it was my first offer, genuine love from the coaches, storied tradition, great fans & great academics.
Where are you from?
I’m from Kansas City, Mo.
Who is your role model, and why?
My father is my role model, because a lot of my friends grew up w/o one. He played a heavy role in me becoming the man that I am today, very supportive & he taught me the ropes.
Have any scouts met with you yet, and if so what are they saying?
Quite a few NFL scouts came in throughout the school year, some asked about my family background others were small talk.
Did you play any other sports growing up?
Yes, baseball was my first love.

Did you play any other positions in football?
WR was my first position, but made the transition to full time corner when I got to college.
At your position, what separates you from others?
I believe my consistency, intelligence & physique separates me from other corners.
When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?
When breaking down film I get a group of teammates involved. Breaking down film is much easier with more people involved. We look for the offense tendencies & also the receivers route running tendencies

John Brown WR
If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?
I would compare my game to Dominique Rodgers Cromartie
What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?
I lost three family members in 2011. My family and I overcame that by me bringing them joy & excitement on Saturdays playing for Pitt & going on to win the D2 National Championship.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I like to clear my mind with prayer & music.
What is your biggest strength?
My biggest strength is my consistency playing at a high level.
What is your biggest weakness?
I could do a better job at open field tackling
If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?
I’m a stand up guy, hard worker, locker room favorite & team oriented.
Who was your favorite player and NFL team growing up?
Gary Payton (NBA), Sean Taylor & Randy Moss. No favorite team.
If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?
Beyoncé, Meagan Good & Marcus Lemonis
