What is your name?

Andrew Dillon

Where do you play college football?

Saginaw Valley State University

How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

10 or 15 in football, I was also fortunate enough have multiple other schools recruiting me for other sports including baseball and basketball.

How did you choose your school?

I began my college career playing baseball on scholarship at Oakland University. After my freshman year, I realized how much I missed playing football and had the opportunity to be offered a spot on Saginaw Valley State University’s football team.     

Where are you from?

Ypsilanti Michigan

Who is your role model, and why?

My father has always been my role model because he is honest, committed, and hard working. Above all, he has taught me to be a good man.

Have any scouts met with you yet, and if so what are they saying?

I had the opportunity to meet with multiple NFL scouts from 20 different teams that have showed special interest in my receiving abilities.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball and baseball.

Did you play any other positions in football?

QB, WR, CB, SS.

At your position, what separates you from others?

Knowledgeable about the game, experienced, and a dedicated leader.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

Base defense, match-ups, and defensive queues.

Ohio Dominican was the strongest team we faced this year, their Defensive Ends were extremely talented.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Tony Gonzales because of his receiving abilities, respectable reputation, and play making reliability.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge I faced was the decision to transfer after my freshman year of college. At the time, I was playing baseball at Oakland University when I decided to transfer to Saginaw Valley State for football.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Listening to the same song before every game.

What is your biggest strength?

Knowledge of the game, my leadership ability and putting in the hard work that will make me succeed.

What is your biggest weakness?

I put to much pressure on myself at times.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I am extremely grateful and blessed to have the opportunity to play a game that I love at the next level. I will be dedicated, hard working, coachable, versatile, and determined to become an asset to your organization.

Who was your favorite player and NFL team growing up?

I enjoyed watching multiple athletes play in the league without necessarily having a favorite. However, my favorite team was/is the Detroit Lions!

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?
