Cowboys running back Murray says he is ready to finish what he started
Can Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray finish what he has started? Can Murray be the player that leads his team to the playoffs and hit 2000 yards? With nearly 50 more carries and 300 more yards than the next best runner, DeMarco Murray says he’s prepared to shoulder the load the rest of the way.
“I’m ready,” Murray said Monday, per ESPNDallas.com’s Todd Archer. “Like I’ve said before, whatever they ask me to do I’m going to do it times 10. It’s going to be an exciting next couple of weeks for us.”
Averaging a league-best 123.3 yards per game, Murray has already set career highs in yardage (1,233) and carries (244), but the looming question is whether or not he can stay healthy into January. The fourth-year back has never played 16 games in a season since being drafted by the team in 2011.
