Cardinals defensive line coach thanked Bill Belichick for Tommy Kelly
Just how important has Tommy Kelly been to the Arizona Cardinals? Well he has been a huge pick up for the Cardinals.
After losing Darnell Dockett to a season ending injury, the Cardinals were able to pick up Tommy Kelly who was cut by the New England Patriots. Kelly has been really impressive for the Cardinals and this week his defensive line coach thanked the Patriots organization and Bill Belichick for Kelly.
“Tell Bill (Belichick) I said, ‘Thank you,'” defensive line coach Brentson Buckner told NFL Media columnist Michael Silver Sunday night. “Kelly’s been great for us. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”
Kelly has been excited since joining the Cardinals and today stated he couldn’t be happier.
“They say everything happens for a reason,” Kelly explained to Silver. “I’m happy — they work me hard but they treat me nice … and no snow! It’s a great group. We believe in each other. We believe in our scheme. And even with some big-time losses, we still feel we’ve got enough to get it done.”
