26 players named as Hall of Fame semifinalists
Bettis is one of four running backs on the list of 26 modern-era semifinalists, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Tuesday night.
Morten Andersen, Mike Kenn, Ty Law and retired coach Tony Dungy, are all semifinalists.
Running backs Edgerrin James, Terrell Davis and Roger Craig also made the list of semifinalists.
The rest of the 26 semifinalists are: quarterback Kurt Warner; receivers Tim Brown, Isaac Bruce, Marvin Harrison and Torry Holt; offensive linemen Orlando Pace, my mentor Joe Jacoby, Kevin Mawae and Will Shields; defensive backs Steve Atwater, John Lynch and Darren Woodson; linebackers Junior Seau, Kevin Greene and Karl Mecklenburg; defensive end Charles Haley; and coaches Jimmy Johnson and Don Coryell.
