13 percent of the NFL is made up Small School Football Players
A few years ago, the NFL was only made up of around 8 percent of small school football players. Well that number has increased over the years. We did a study which totaled 268 total small school football players on active rosters and practice squads. There are only 1696 players on the 53 man rosters, with 320 players on the practice squads. That total is 2016 players are in the NFL. Out of the 2016 players, 268 players have attended small schools.
There are 142 different small schools that have players in the NFL. Hampton leads all small schools with 6 players on NFL rosters. This is a pretty impressive statistic, because small school football players are finally getting noticed.
NFL Draft Diamonds was created to assist the underdogs playing the sport. We call them diamonds in the rough.
