Tennessee Titans expect Jake Locker to start this week
The Tennessee Titans need a quarterback that can move the ball. Charlie Whitehurst is a serviceable back-up but this team has been playing good. They really need to get Jake Locker back. Ken Whisenhunt was asked why Locker was not able to play this week he said the fourth-year pro’s thumb was sore after practicing earlier in the week. He was limited the rest of the week.
“Obviously you worry about him turning the ball over and putting one on the ground if you miss a snap or do something with ball handling,” Whisenhunt said. “That’s ultimately what made the decision.”
The reporters quickly asked Whisenhunt if Locker would return this week against the Texans at LP Field and his answer was clear?
“I would expect him being able to go next week,” Whisenhunt said, “but until we get out there and practice, I don’t know that for sure.”
