Ryan Shazier has been ruled “Out” by Steelers against the Browns
Steelers first round pick Ryan Shazier has what it takes to be a very special talent in the NFL. He practiced all week, but was ruled out today by the team.
The good news, according to ESPN Steelers reporter Scott Brown, is that Steelers rookie linebacker Ryan Shazier returned to practice this week. The bad news is that he’s already ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Browns. Shazier has been nursing a knee injury since the Carolina game and started seeing some practice action for the first time this week on a limited basis.
The team will continue to rely on old school linebacker James Harrison. Harrison has one tackle so far on the season. While he might be a leader in the locker room, he has not really performed on Sunday. His playing time is limited, but he needs to be more of a factor on the field with Shazier out if the Steelers want to win.
