Patriots have already won the Akeem Ayers trade
Akeem Ayers was sitting on the bench hoping to get to play for Ken Whisenhunt and the Tennessee Titans. The Titans traded Ayers for practically nothing. The Patriots gave up a 6th round draft pick for Akeem Ayers and a seventh rounder. The Titans are a pitiful 2-6. The Patriots on the other hand are a playoff team, meaning the sixth round pick they gave up is practically a seventh rounder.
The Titans in return gave the Patriots a top 10 pick (likely) in the seventh round and Akeem Ayers. The Patriots started Ayers last week and the former UCLA standout racked up his first sack of the season. He finished the game with 5 tackles and a sack. Ayers is a very good pass rusher and if they can get him back to his grind he could be a major steal for the Pats. I just cannot believe the Patriots continue to find untapped talent in which teams just give up on the players. This is how they continue to win and make the playoffs. It is awesome because their front office is never sleeping.
