Jaguars should try to trade for Saints RB Pierre Thomas
The Jacksonville Jaguars are a pretty young team, and they are really relying on Blake Bortles to do too much. They need a person that can alleviate the pressure from their young quarterback and they do not have that person. The team signed Toby Gerhart who was supposed to be a good running back but he has been banged up all year and has been a non factor.
The New Orleans Saints on the other hand have several players in their backfield that can truly take pressure off a quarterback. Pierre Thomas has been a very solid player for the Saints since entering the league in 2007 as an undrafted free agent. Thomas is very good out the backfield catching the ball and would give the Jaguars an additional attack method. I like this trade because the Jaguars will not need to rely so much on young players in the backfield. Thomas also brings a Super Bowl ring and experience.
Jaguars could use his 24 career touchdowns, and might be able to pick him up for a mid round pick. I think this is a match made in heaven for Gus Bradley and the Jaguars.
