FAMU fires former NFL linebacker Earl Holmes (Video)
Today the Florida A&M Rattlers fired Earl Holmes from their team. Holmes was a former NFL linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers. This video surfaced of Holmes exiting the FAMU campus, and it is tough to watch.
Former NFL superstar Kellen Winslow is trying to get the players to cooperate, but they will be led into homecoming with an interim coach.
The FAMU players are considering a boycott.
Kellen Winslow, FAMU’s director of athletics, is meeting with the team in the Field House,
Holmes, in his third season, went 6-16.
He was an assistant under coach Joe Taylor for four years
Holmes took over the reins in 2012 for the final two games with the retirement of Taylor and went 1-1.
The Rattlers were 3-9 last season and are currently 2-6. They opened the season 0-5.
