Dallas Cowboys sign veteran offensive lineman; Release Lavar Edwards
Today the Dallas Cowboys released Lavar Edwards according to Calvin Watkins of ESPN. The team needed to find a depth player since Doug Free will likely miss several games with an injury. So today the team in a corresponding move signed Tony Hills the veteran offensive tackle who was a former fourth round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Hills, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Steelers. He spent three years with the team, but unfortunately missed the entire 2011 season. Hills has since played for the Broncos, Colts, Bills and Raiders and last appeared in an NFL game during the 2012 season.
Dallas sent a conditional seventh-round pick to the Titans in return for Lavar Edwards at the end of August, but he has been cut on multiple occasions since joining the Cowboys.
