Buccaneers sign linebacker from Chiefs practice squad
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced on Thursday that they have signed linebacker Orie Lemon from the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad to the active roster.
Lemon (6-1, 235) originally entered the league in 2011 with the Dallas Cowboys as a college free agent out of Oklahoma State. He spent the 2011 season on the team’s practice squad and spent the first two weeks of the 2012 season on Dallas’ practice squad before being promoted to the Cowboys’ active roster in Week 3. Lemon played in five games in 2012 with Dallas, totaling three tackles and one fumble recovery, as well as two special teams tackles.
