Brandon Marshall rips his former team and quarterback
This week Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall will face his old team on Sunday for the first time since they traded him to the Chicago Bears. In a conference call Wednesday with South Florida reporters, the five-time Pro Bowl receiver talked about his two years with the Dolphins and quarterback Chad Henne.
“We were a quarterback away from having a team,” Marshall said. “Our defense were studs. Offensively … I really thought we had a young group of guys that could have done some special things if we came together. Unfortunately, we didn’t have that opportunity.”
Marshall went to say he was thankful they made the trade.
“I was surprised, but I was happy at the same time once Jeff Ireland told me where I was going,” Marshall said. “I thought it was best for me and my family. … Chicago is a dream come true.”
