Saints Gallette becomes the highest paid HBCU football player
Yesterday the New Orleans Saints rewarded Defensive End/Outside Linebacker Junior Gallette with a contract extension worth 41,500,000 dollars. It makes him the highest paid HBCU football player in the NFL. Gallette played his college football at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It is a very small school that only has approximately 1,000 students. This is a huge win for the Small School Football Players, but mostly Stillman.
Here is a list of the other top paid players in the NFL from HBCU schools.
1. Junior Gallette (Stillman)- Saints – 4 years, 41,500,000
2. Robert Mathis (Alabama A&M) – Colts – 4 years, 36,000,000
3. Dominique Rodgers – Cromartie (Tennessee State) – Giants – 5 years, 35,000,000
