Matt Flynn wins back-up Quarterback spot in Green Bay
Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy avoided having to make a decision whether to keep Matt Flynn or Scott Tolzien by keeping both.
McCarthy chose Flynn as the Packers backup quarterback Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.
McCarthy did not say why, but it’s pretty obvious he sided with experience over potential. If he didn’t think Tolzien had the ability to be better than Flynn, he probably wouldn’t have kept him.
