Lions lose another corner: Nevin Lawson done for the year
Detroit Lions coach Jim Caldwell says he does not expect rookie cornerback Nevin Lawson to return this season after he went down with dislocated toes Sunday and needed immediate surgery.
Caldwell said foot specialist Bob Anderson was at the game and evaluated Lawson. Caldwell says the surgery was successful.
The Lions are banged up pretty bad right now at the corner position. Last week the team lost Bill Bentley. The Lions still have interest in Champ Bailey as well.
