Former Titans kicker Rob Bironas died in car accident
Ex-Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas was killed in a car crash Saturday night.
The crash was about a mile from Bironas’ home where police believe he was heading.
Metro police confirmed a white SUV driven by Bironas, 36, lost control and crashed into several trees before landing upside down.
Bironas was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
A tweet sent from his Twitter account said “It’s w/ heavy hearts that we confirm the passing RB # 2 We appreciate your respect for the family’s privacy and your prayers at this time.”
Bironas married his wife, Rachel Bradshaw, in Nashville on June 28, 2014. Bradshaw is the daughter of NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw.
