Redskins sign DE Jeremy Towns
The Redskins have signed defensive lineman Jeremy Towns to fill the roster spot that became vacant when Washington waived injured wide receiver Jerry Rice Jr., according to a person with knowledge of the situation.
Towns went undrafted out of Samford this past spring and had a tryout with the New York Jets but remained unsigned.
