Packers tight end Brandon Bostick could miss several weeks
The Green Bay Packers are going to be without their best pass catching tight end for several weeks. Word from coach Mike McCarthy that Brandon Bostick would miss “a couple of weeks” with a lower leg injury created a new wrinkle in the race to fill Jermichael Finley’s old spot and determine which guys would stick on the 53-man roster.
McCarthy would not say whether the injury was related to the broken foot that landed Bostick on injured reserve last year and caused him to miss off-season workouts and get off to a slow start in training camp. However, McCarthy said surgery wasn’t necessary and it wasn’t a devastating injury.
“He’s going to be a couple weeks; they were encouraged once they got all the testing done,” he said after practice Monday.
