Lions are truly going “GREEN”, Stafford will wear this Recycled Bottle Jersey today (PHOTO)
Today the Detroit Lions quarterbacks will wear “Green” jerseys, for their recycling initiative to “Go Green”.
The jerseys are made from 21 recycled plastic bottles, and each Lions quarterback will wear one during practice Wednesday according to ESPN.com’s Michael Rothstein.
Not only are the Lions wearing environmentally-friendly jerseys during practice, they’re also giving away towels made from the same fiber to the first 8,000 fans at their Wednesday practice, and they set a goal to recycle every piece of trash throughout the season.
