Giants RB Peyton Hillis was injured in practice today
A day after David Wilson‘s season and NFL career ended, Peyton Hillis came down with an ankle injury during practice Tuesday evening and left the field early. The Giants officially called the injury a sprained ankle Tuesday, but coach Tom Coughlin was more vague when asked about it on Wednesday.
“It’s an ankle/foot kind of thing,” Coughlin said. When asked whether he knows how long Hillis will be out, Coughlin responded, “I don’t. It looks like it’ll be a little while.”
The Giants could be looking for another running back, especially if Hillis cannot play this week. Thankfully the team drafted Andre Williams who looked amazing in pre-season and they have 2 solid full backs in Henry Hynoski and John Conner.
