Cowboys owner blames the Seahawks defense for the penalties in preseason
The NFL has increased their penalties in 2014 and the Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the Seahawks are the culprit of the problem.
“A team like Seattle, who basically played a style that would risk a holding penalty as opposed to not having an aggressive defender back there,” said Jones, whose son, Cowboys chief operating officer Stephen Jones is on the competition committee. “That got a lot of complaints, and you’re seeing it [called] during the preseason.”
Seattle had the NFL’s best pass defense in 2013, limiting opponents to 172 yards through the air per game. Seahawks All-Pro corner Richard Sherman led the league with eight interceptions as Seattle finished with an NFL-best 28 takeaways through the air.
What do you think? Did Seattle cause the problem?
