Bengals will rely on a rookie to pivot their offensive line
The Cincinnati Bengals have finally named their starting center. Many believed Mike Pollak would be named their starting center going into the 2014 NFL season. Well that is not the case. According to Gil Brandt of NFL.com, the team has named Russell Bodine their starting center. This is great for Bodine but might not be the best idea for Andy Dalton.
Gil_Brandt .@Bengals are expecting Russell Bodine to be their starting center. Not bad for a 4th-round rookie. Was 4th center drafted in 2014. 8/21/14 1:14 PM |
Bodine automatically will be thrown under the bus if the team does not move the ball well in Cincy. That is not good, for a team I feel will decline without Jay Gruden.
