Kansas City Chiefs sign versatile college prospect
Today the Kansas City Chiefs released defensive tackle Risean Broussard who was signed at the end of last season to a futures contract.
In a corresponding move the team signed cornerback Justin rogers the former Miami Dolphin, Houston Texan and Buffalo Bill corner that was tore up last year by Geno Smith for 256 yards in one game.
The team also signed a very versatile college athlete in Deon Anthony the former Troy quarterback.
Anthony put up some good numbers at his Pro Day, showing off his athleticism with a 4.44 40-yard dash, 36-inch vertical leap, 10-foot broad jump and bench pressed 225 pounds 17.
He did a little bit of everything at Troy, rushing for nearly 500 yards, throwing for five touchdowns and even catching 10 passes.
These are both depth signings, and do not expect either to make the 53 man roster.
