Jacksonville Jaguars release Demarcus Love and sign a 25 year old wide out
The Jaguars have signed rookie wide receiver Brandon Wimberly on Monday, according to the team’s website.
The 25-year-old Wimberly missed the entire 2011 after being shot in the abdomen, but he returned to play two more seasons for Nevada, catching a combined 167 passes for 1,834 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2012 and 2013. He tried out for the Jaguars in May.
In a corresponding move, The Jaguars waived offensive tackle DeMarcus Love, a sixth-round pick by the Vikings in the 2011 draft.
