Grading the Draft: Cleveland Browns edition
Sports Ruckus writer Justin Walters has graded the entire AFC North, and some Browns fans might not like his grading, but he has some very valid points. Let’s see what the Browns finished with.
The Cleveland Browns seem to be in the process of turning it around. Only thing missing in the war room was Kevin Costner. They seem to have hit on every pick and acquired a first rd pick for next year. Every player drafted should see the field this year. The grade reflects them not knowing of Josh Gordon’s impending suspension. If they knew and didn’t select a WR make it a C+. At least they got Johnny Football, not sure what kind of career he will have but I know it will be entertaining.
Justin Gilbert CB
Johnny Manziel QB
Joe Bitonio T
Christian Kirksey LB
Terrence West RB
Pierre Desir CB
Gilbert is an elite athlete who will pair with Joe Haden to form an outstanding CB duo
Bitonio will strengthen an already solid O-Line
Manziel is a risky pick but he could be special and they picked him at a decent spot
Desir is a big CB with good movement skills
Terrence West is a talented small school star who is a sleeper at RB
FINAL GRADE: Cleveland Browns – B+
