Dolphins coach says Knowshon Moreno’s conditioning could be better
Knowshon Moreno was the lead back for the Denver Broncos and he led the team’s ground game, but in Miami he is not off to a very good start. According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Moreno has looked pretty bad, and was called out by head coach Joe Philbin for his conditioning.
“Knowshon Moreno continues to work at least partly with the second team, with Lamar Miller taking a lot of first team snaps,” Jackson wrote. “Moreno dropped a pass today and Joe Philbin conceded that his conditioning could be better.”
If Moreno can’t beat out Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas in Miami, then he needs to go ahead and hang up his cleats. The Dolphins were relying on Moreno quite a bit, and right now Maurice Jones-Drew was looking like a better option. Moreno was a decent back up until he had Peyton Manning chucking the rock. It makes you wonder if the Dolphins gambled on a bum….
