Darrell Green was the first player to use a candy to make him play better
Last year, Skittles sponsored Marshawn Lynch because the Super Bowl back claims Skittles assist him in turning into “Beast Mode”. Well while Lynch may sound like the first to use a candy to make him play better, the NFL’s fastest man stuffed a candy in his socks to boost his speed.
Playing for the Redskins from 1983-2002, Darrell Green was nicknamed the “Ageless Wonder” as his outstanding abilities could not be limited even by the passing of time.
Green was considered one of the fastest ever to play in NFL. But how did he get to be so fast?
Tootsie Rolls!
Darrell Green would stuff tootsie rolls in his socks to make him run faster, while it may sound crazy, it sure worked for him. What is the next player to have a candy that gives him super powers?
