Chicago Bears cut long time vet while their longsnapper retires
Today the Chicago Bears announced that their long snapper Patrick Mannelly who was in the league forever, has retired. The team was hoping he would return for another year, but after 16 long seasons, Mannelly decided to hang up the cleats.
On the other hand the Bears released long time veteran Israel Idonije from their roster along with Fendi Onobun and Jerrod Johnson.
In corresponding moves the team did sign former Wisconsin LB Connor O’Neill and former Rutger DE Jamil Merrell.
