Sean Spence was one of the most ferocious linebackers to ever play at the University of Miami, but he has been troubled by the injury bug. Spence has never really been able to take the field and perform, but things could be changing soon for the young man. According to the Steelers website, coach Mike Tomlin said Spence has been cleared.
“He’s healthy and working,” said Coach Mike Tomlin. “So we can’t wait to watch him take the next step in this process, which is play football. I don’t think that we’ll start from scratch,” said Tomlin. “These haven’t been empty days for him since he’s been here with the rehabilitation process and what he’s been able to do in terms of learning our system of football. I’m not going to assume that he’s starting from ground zero.I think that’s to be determined with how he performs and plays, but he’s been given a clean bill of health and we’ll go from there.”
This is great news for Steelers fans, who have never really been able to see what their former draft pick was capable of. If Spence can stay healthy and get back into game shape, expect big things from him.
