Ravens sign a back up plan in Fitzgerald Toussaint
The Ravens running backs are not getting it. This week Lorenzo Taliaferro was arrested in Virginia, Bernard Pierce was kicked out of a club for being too drunk, and Ray Rice had to apologize on national television for beating his wife. I don’t know what is going on with the running backs in B-More, but one thing is for sure they are still looking for someone to step up. Today the Ravens signed undrafted running back Fitzgerald Toussaint.
The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Toussaint rushed for 1,041 yards at Michigan during his sophomore season. He had nine rushing touchdowns and one receiving that year.
Toussaint impressed at Michigan’s pro day by running the 40-yard dash in 4.49 seconds. He had solid times in the three-cone drill (6.59), posted a 35.5-inch vertical jump and put up 24 bench press reps.
The running backs in Baltimore better get their heads out of their butts, because they are acting as if they are irreplaceable, but the Ravens might not keep dealing with negative attention from one position.
