Could the Patriots be interested in trading for Mike Glennon?
Mike Glennon is reportedly on the trade block, and if that is the case do you think the Patriots could be a team that would bring him in? According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, the Bucs are willing to trade quarterback Mike Glennon.
Last year’s third-round pick started 13 games, and was not awful. There were stretches when he looked downright competent, so someone who valued him a year ago might be willing to part with something to bring him in at a reduced rate.
The Bucs have been mentioned as a possible landing spot for Johnny Manziel, so with McCown already on hand for short-term cover, Glennon would be extraneous.
With Tom Brady getting older and the team not being sold on Ryan Mallett, could Glennon be a logical choice for the Patriots? Bill Belichick is a very close friend with Greg Schiano who drafted Mike Glennon. Schiano might be willing to put in a good word for Glennon. At the end of the day, the Patriots could steal another future starter for little to nothing. The Patriots are not afraid to make a deal like this, as they have in the past. I would not rule this option out yet, because it could be a possibility.
Would you take Glennon in New England?
