New England Patriots have waived UDFA LB James Morris
The New England Patriots have released former Iowa linebacker James Morris, the team announced on its website Tuesday afternoon.
Morris, a Solon native, agreed to terms with the Patriots shortly after the NFL draft on May 10. He officially signed with the team on May 16. According to Glen Farley he was waived/injured after failing a physical. Morris could be brought back and added to the Injured reserve if he clears waivers.

According to the NFL’s transactions list, linebacker James Morris failed his physical with the #Patriots and was released.
