Former NFL player says 70-80 percent of all players smoke marijuana
Today an article came out from Ryan Nerz a writer for Fusion, in which former NFL defensive tackle Tank Johnson stated he felt that 70-80 percent of the NFL players smoked marijuana. New York Giants current cornerback Walter Thurmond also mentioned some interesting news about taking Percocets.
Fusion’s Chief Cannabis Correspondent, Ryan Nerz, about the widespread use of marijuana and painkillers in the league. Six-year NFL veteran Tank Johnson said the percentage of players using weed is “70-80 percent. I hate to say that as if it’s a bad thing, but I think that would be about accurate.”
The players also described their numerous grisly injuries and the side effects of the painkillers given to them by team doctors.
When asked if he had any side effects from painkillers, New York Giants cornerback Walter Thurmond responded, “I remember getting double Percocets. It put me in a state of having nightmares at night, that’s how crazy it was.”
I would not be surprised if many players do in fact use drugs.
