Five biggest steals of the 2014 NFL Draft
I wanted to write an article today to go back and look at the steals of the draft. I can think of five players that I feel were huge steals in the draft.
Martavis Bryant – Pittsburgh Steelers – WR – The former Clemson wide receiver was a steal in the 4th round. Bryant is a big receiver that has great hands and speed. The team lost Jericho Cotchery and landed Bryant in the fourth to take his place.
Pierre Desir – Cleveland Browns – CB – The Cleveland Browns landed the best small school prospect in the draft. I don’t know how this kid fell that far. I am willing to bet teams were scared of him because he was a d2 prospect. I think this kid shines in Cleveland. With the 127th pick the Browns landed another second rounder.
Cyril Richardson – Buffalo Bills – G – The Buffalo Bills landed big Cyril Richardson from Baylor who is a monster. If he can keep his weight down this could be the steal of the draft. I expect Cyril to start by the end of the year. The Bills landed him in the fifth round, I like this pick.
Storm Johnson – Jacksonville Jaguars – RB – The Jacksonville Jaguars landed a very solid running back from UCF. Blake Bortles will have his former college teammate with him along with Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee. The Jaguars had an amazing draft, especially when they landed Storm in the 7th.
Ahmad Dixon – Dallas Cowboys – SS – The former Baylor safety is the hardest hitter in the draft. Teams are sleeping on Ahmad Dixon, I think he will be a full time starter by next year. I love this kids tenacity. He is a stud.
