Expect the Browns to go best player available not QB with 4th pick

Yesterday the Cleveland Browns signed two veteran quarterbacks in both Tyler Thigpen and Vince Young.  They already have Brian Hoyer on the roster as well as the trick shot quarterback Alex Tanney.  Mike Pettine the new NFL coach is not a very person that plays around.  In his time with Buffalo he was very up front and never really beat around the bush.

The other day he was asked about the draft, and he stated “I would try not to take a quarterback at 4”. He did not say he wouldn’t, he did not say he didn’t see a quarterback good enough at the #4 spot, but he obviously believes in Brian Hoyer.  So is Mike Pettine trying to get the Browns fans thinking differently?

I honestly don’t.  If Sammy Watkins is on the clock at 4, the Browns will draft him.  I know Mike Pettine, but Browns fans if you give Pettine a Khalil Mack, watch out.  The Browns will go BPA at the number 4 spot, and they should.  They have another pick in the first round, where they can get a player of need, but you can never pass on a top 5 player in the draft.  You should never take a need in the top 5, I would take the best player available.
