Draft Recap: NFL Draft Picks 6-15

The NFL Draft has not had too many crazy picks, but the picks 6-15 had a few eye openers.

Atlanta Falcons picked sixth and landed the best offensive tackle in the NFL Draft. Jake Matthews has amazing blood lines and is a very solid player.  There is nothing else to say about this pick, because I know Matt Ryan is smiling.

Buccaneers were able to add another deep threat to their young offense.  The team landed Mike Evans the big kid from Texas A&M, who will fit in well with Vincent Jackson. The team parted ways with Mike Williams and had a glaring need at wide out.  Evans fills that void.

The Vikings traded out of the eight pick and landed an additional pick in the 2014 Draft to move back one pick.  The Browns were the trading partners, and they landed a shocker in Justin Gilbert.  The Oklahoma State cornerback is the probably the best available in the Draft, but I don’t see why they didn’t just stay put.

The Vikings then with the 9th pick selected Anthony Barr.  The UCLA pass rusher was a surprise pick, but we knew all along the guy was coveted by the Vikes.  The Vikings will use him in Mike Zimmer’s defense, but they still have a need at QB.

Detroit Lions picked an amazing target to add with Calvin Johnson.  I cannot even think to see Eric Ebron the tight end from UNC with Megatron.  The team is trying to give Matthew Stafford weapons, and they did that tonight.

The Tennessee Titans drafted another offensive lineman. The team is trying to build that line up, and they did it today with the vicious lineman Taylor Lewan. I love this pick.

The Giants finally found a replacement for Hakeem Nicks.  Odell Beckham Jr the former LSU wide out was selected by the G-Men.  Beckham is a stud and probably the best route runner in the draft.

The St. Louis Rams landed a beast with the 13th pick.  If you don’t like Aaron Donald you are not a true football fan.  The Pittsburgh Panther defensive tackle is a little on the smaller side, but he is amazing.  I love this pick, he is one of my favorite players in the draft.

Chicago Bears selected a cornerback tonight, and they needed him.  Kyle Fuller of Virginia Tech will be headed to Chi-Town to learn behind one of the best corners in the NFL in Peanut Tillman. I can see Tillman loving to work with Fuller.

Pittsburgh Steelers selected Ryan Shazier with the 15th pick, and they wasted little time.  Shazier is a very solid player and he will shine in the Steelers defense.  They are always finding gems, and Shazier is a GEM.
