How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

A lot of schools were recruiting me out of high school but the only serious schools were Toledo, Ashland, Findlay, and Urbana University.

Where did you choose and why?

I chose Urbana University because it was close to home and I had a great opportunity to help build a prestigious program with great tradition.

What were your goals for your senior year?

My goals for my senior year were to average over 100 receiving yards per game, win the conference, and help the team to its first Division II playoff appearance.

Have any scouts met with you, and if so what are they saying?

No scouts have met with me in person, but the scouts at my pro days have expressed interest as an undrafted free agent.

At your position, what separates you from the others?

I would say my versatility is what sets me apart from others. I can play slot, outside, running back, and all special teams.

Tell us what you look for when breaking down film?

I look for coverage’s, as well as anything that gives away what they are trying to do schematically. I look for how DB’s play certain coverage’s, and when they feel threatened in their peddle. I also look for how they tackle and how they shed blocks in run game.

Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?

Harold Jones-Quartey, University of Findlay

If you could compare your play to one person in the NFL who would it be?

I would compare myself to Wes Welker. I am a tough slot guy that runs good routes, and has very dependable hands. I catch the ball well in traffic and run hard with the ball in my hands.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

I think the biggest obstacle I have had to overcome is losing my grandma my sophomore year of high school. She was always a big part of my life and I was there to watch her take her last breath. It was devastating for me. My grades dropped tremendously and I was ineligible for part of basketball, and all of track, and baseball. With the support of my family, my teammates, and my love for football I was able to recover and get eligible for football the next year. That’s what my grandma would have wanted anyway.

What system fits your style of play the best?

I think with my versatility I can fit into any system. If I had to choose though I would say New Orleans or the Detroit Lions type systems because I am a capable running back that can catch the ball out of the backfield as well as playing wide receiver.

What is your biggest strength?

I think one of my biggest strengths is that I play without hesitation. I know what I am doing every play and that allows me to play fast and play hard on every play.

What is your biggest weakness?

I would say that my biggest weakness is my straight line speed.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I would say that I am a very versatile player that can play wide receiver and running back, I love playing special team, and I can kick field goals and punt. I can even play some safety. I have a great work ethic and will not be denied. I will be the hardest worker and be in the best shape on the team.

Growing up, who was your role model?

My role model growing up was my older brother. He was never the star athlete growing up but he was always better than me and we may have been the most competitive brothers I have ever been around. He was always a very hard worker and I just wanted to be better than him. He is the reason I always pushed myself to work harder and be better.
