Browns have hired a former Pro Bowler to work with CB’s Gilbert and Desir
Aaron Glenn was a three time Pro Bowler for the New York Jets after being drafted in 1994 with the 12th overall pick. He remained in the NFL as a pro personnel scout for the New York Jets after retiring from the game, and now he will be coaching two young corners in Cleveland.
The Browns hired Aaron Glenn as an assistant defensive backs coach today to come in and work with draft picks Justin Gilbert, Pierre Desir and Pro Bowl corner Joe Haden. Glenn has watched quite a bit in his time in the NFL, and had a very solid career amassing 41 interceptions. Glenn earned quite a bit praise from Mike Pettine his former co-worker in New York.
“Aaron Glenn fits the mold of what we’re looking for to lead our players,” Pettine said in a release. “He’s passionate, knowledgeable and relentless. His NFL experience and production, 205 games and 41 interceptions, gives him instant credibility in the room.”
