Washington Redskins are working out former HBCU standout Christian Thompson
Christian Thompson was a very safety for South Carolina State University. SCSU actually had the legion of boom back in college football with Thompson and Dominique Ellis. While Thompson has not had the most success in the NFL, he has all the intangibles to be a solid player in the league. According to Matt Zenitz of Carroll County Times is tweeting that Christian Thompson will work out for the Washington Redskins today.

Christian Thompson was a fourth-round pick of the Ravens in 2012, but he was suspended the first four games of last season for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy and has been out of football since the Ravens released him in October.Thompson, 23, played in college at Auburn and South Carolina State.
He was an all-conference selection as a senior at South Carolina State in 2011. And at 6-foot, 211 pounds, Thompson ran the 40-yard dash in 4.50 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine, the fastest time among safeties in 2012.
