Vikings land Haitian wide receiver Lestar Jean formerly of the Texans
Lestar Jean is a former undrafted player out of Florida Atlantic who spent the past three seasons in Houston. Lestar “Big Play”Jean has only been active for the previous two seasons however, as he was placed on IR with a shoulder injury after the preseason in 2011.
Jean has appeared in 27 games in his career, catching 10 passes for 186 yards and one touchdown.
Lestar Jean is a big receiver at 6-foot-3-inches, but he does not have top level speed as his 40 time was previously recorded at 4.65.
Lestar Jean was a big time threat in the preseason before suffering an injury. He can make big time plays, but has never really had a golden opportunity due to injuries.
Jean had received interest from Carolina and Miami in free agency.
