San Diego Chargers have only 2 defensive tackles on their roster
- Today the San Diego Chargers made it very clear what they are looking for in the 2014 NFL Draft when they released Byron Jerideau. According to Eric D. Williams the San Diego Chargers have only 2 defensive tackles on their active roster. This pretty much sends a message to the entire NFL telling them we are drafting a defensive tackle in the first round.

Per the NFL personnel notice, the #Chargers waived DT Byron Jerideau, and now have 2 DTs on the roster, Sean Lissemore and Kwame Geathers.
- The Chargers have the 25th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, and they might need to move up if they want one of the top 2 players in the draft. Aaron Donald and Timmy Jernigan are expected to be drafted before the 25th pick. Two others that could fall to the Bolts, are Rashede Hageman and Louis Nix. I honestly feel that Nix is the best fit for the Chargers defensive scheme, but do not be surprised if the team drafts more than one defensive tackle. They definitely are very thin on the line.
- Another guy that the Chargers could focus on later in the draft is Zach Kerr from Delaware or Caraun Reid from Princeton. These two small schoolers could become the biggest steals in the draft. Both are very solid run stuffers.
